For a Sith marauder to do maximum damage in a fight they have to know what skills to use and when. The order skills are used is known as a rotation. Most rotations are not strict but are dependant on what is going on in a fight. For instance if are low on rage you will want to use a rage building skill like Battering Assault to get back rage but not off of cooldown you may have to use Assault.
Below I list rotations that should help you increase your PVE DPS. Please contact me if there is something you want to add or if the information I am listed is not accurate :)
The annihilation rotation is priority based, this means you do not cast just A, B, C blindy, what skills you use will depend on what is going on.
Deadly Saber - Try to keep this up enough that a 3 stack of this is always on target. This does not mean that you have to cast this 3 times, this DoT is applied to target every time you hit them with a melee attack, this DoT lasts for 6 seconds.
Rupture - DoT that does damage over 6 seconds, always make sure this is on target. Keep in mind that Pulverize has a 22% chance to finish this DoT early so be prepared to put this back up when this happens or if it times out. This is a big damage DoT you always want to keep up on target.
Annihilate - Cast everytime it is avialable, keep this always at a 3 stack as this lowers the cooldown of this to 7.5 seconds.
Bloodthirst - This is a 15 second buff with a 5 minute cooldown. Keep this for burn phases of boss fights but if a fight is long enough to cast this twice do so.
Berserk - Use this every time you have a 30 stack of Fury.
Rage Generation - Use Force Charge, Battering Assualt or Assualt to generate rage when not doing the above so there is rage enough to cast them. What of these you cast depending on their cooldowns and how you are spec'd. Use Assualt when you cannot cast either of the other 2.
Use Vicious Slash(when target is below 20% use Vicious Throw instead if target is not in range) when at 11 rage or at 7 rage if you can use Battering Assualt right after. This is done so you are not wasting rage points.
Ravage is another usefull attack that does not waste rage points and as it has just been buffed can be usefull for damage/stun on cd when needed..
Carnage PVP rotation: Charge, Battering, Gore, Massacre, Scream.
Things to keep in mind, the higher your heat is the slower it goes away. You should be trying to keep your heat no higher than 40% if possible.
